Jason Gardner will hold a launching for his latest project “A Flower in The Mouth” July 30 at the Lincoln Center. “A Flower in The Mouth” is a photography project by award-winning photographer Jason Gardner . It features culture, music and rituals of Carnaval in Pernambuco, Brazil. The book contains images and interviews of the people shaping this dynamic culture and excerpts from Jason’s experiences. The launch will take place at the Rubenstein Atrium on 61st Street and Broadway. Gardner has been working on this project for the past nine years and is excited to finally be sharing his work.
The book launching will start at 6:30pm until 10:00pm as a part of Lincoln Center Out of Doors. It is free and open to the public and will run through August 11. There will be a photo exhibit where Jason Gardner will be discussing and signing his book. In addition to Jason Gardner, Scott Kettner, project director of “A Tale of Two Nations” and leader of the group Nation Beat, will be giving a presentation as well.
