This is why we can’t have nice things. This photographer, whose name has been kept private (for which I’m glad honestly; witch hunting is not ok) posed a model on train tracks (which we already don’t recommend doing because one, cliche, two dangerous and three, illegal) with a train inbound and clearly visible in the frame… and he was proud of it.
The photographer “had a little fun with fear” by having him model crouch on the train tracks while a train was coming. Though not planned, instead of getting the heck out of the way, the photographer continued to take photos.
Do. Not. Do. This. I live in San Francisco, and the main train system here, Caltrain, hits pedestrians on a fairly regular basis. Pedestrians that think they can “make it” and cross the tracks before the train arrives. Rarely do they succeed.
I was hoping the comments would point out how much of a bad idea this was, but I was disappointed. No. This is not the “price we pay for art.”
Guys, please be smarter than this photographer.
