If you’ve been watching YouTube videos over the last few days, you may have seen the one where a man, on hidden camera, poses as a blind person, and asks strangers to give change to for a five dollar bill. He then proceeds to give them a $50, and watches as people exploit his presumed disability to rob the man blind. The upside to the story however, is that it was all an elaborate fraud, and used actors to mislead people into thinking others are dishonest.

YouTube personality Adrian Gee is the creator of the original this video. When it went viral two weeks ago, reaching over 2 million views on YouTube, the video left everyone feeling heartbroken for humanity. However, through investigative journalism by Today Tonight, it was found that Adrian Gee actually hired actors to act in the hidden camera film. Each of the actors have since came forth, and stated that they were hired for the video, and had no idea they were being represented so poorly in the video. Watch the video above, and see the redeeming “Gotcha” moment, where they expose Adrian Gee for the fraud he is, and watch as he adamantly denies it even after being exposed.

Let this be a reminder that not everything you see on the internet is true. I’d post a link to the original video of the hidden camera footage, but frankly, this scam artist doesn’t deserve your traffic.
