An exceptional fashion and portrait X-Photographer in New York City, Whitney Hayes is passionate about capturing moods and defining moments. She is a pioneer of great feeling, constantly purveying the landscape of youth, beauty, and movement. Despite specializing in capturing the world of high fashion, she also enjoys nature and travel, and has spent countless hours hiking through vast expanses of wilderness. Whitney takes time out of her days on set to revel in the importance of taking time to reflect and refuel on what drives her creativity. Most recently, she flew out to Portland, Oregon to take some time off and get her nature photography on.
“Oregon is a favorite destination of mine, as it is a constant source of inspiration,” she says. “I love the tones, colors, and endlessly moody landscape. Many of my portrait images are inspired by the dramatic landscapes of the west coast. When I’m exploring natural destinations, I don’t plan: I simply drive with my trusted X Series system by my side, making my way down Highway 101 and stopping spontaneously along the way. I love discovering new places to shoot, spending my days hiking, basking in golden hour, and reflecting against the scenery. These trips to Portland are always exactly what I need to revamp my creative flow and allow me to dream up concepts for my next portrait session.”
