B&H has the Canon 7D Mark II discounted heavily now through January 2, from the MSRP of $1799 down to just $1049, and this particular bundle includes a printer at that price. This is an absolutely massive discount, and you get a printer for free. Seeing as the 7D series was revamped only recently, this tells us that this is a deal definitely worth swooping on. We reviewed the Canon 7D Mark II a year ago and found it to be a pretty good camera, which at this price point makes it a very good buy.
Pros:
- Incredibly damage-resistant body with sturdy magnesium alloy frame
- Outstanding autofocus performance during high speed shooting
- Highly detailed, sharp and crisp images
- Good dynamic range when shooting at ideal ISOs
- Video shoots at 60 frames per second in multiple file types
Cons:
- Disappointing video quality, with little to separate it from competitor product
- Average overall ISO performance, which limits dynamic range at higher ISOs
- Average overall image quality
- No touch screen, and no tilt or flip out screen
- Though it has made it a stronger body, the camera is very heavy
