Musicbed, one of the most popular places to source music for productions, has announced an iOS app that lets you discover, collaborate and listen to tracks offline on your iPhone or iPad.

The Musicbed experience is one that’s intended to inspire filmmakers and take the grunt work out of licensing, and for Musicbed that means giving their users access to do that anywhere. Musicbed for iPhone makes the full catalog easily accessible from wherever you are and syncs your wishlists and favorite artists across all of your devices. The app also automatically opens when you click a link to a Musicbed playlist, wishlist or album within an email or a social post on your iPhone, giving you a stellar experience built for your device.

Some of the other new features available with just a couple taps include:

  • Offline Mode: make Wishlists and Playlists available for offline listening wherever your shoot takes you – even on a flight or to locations without LTE service or WiFi.
  • Discover: follow top notch playlists – updated by our team daily – and your favorite artists to be the first to find out when we add new music you love.
  • Shared Wishlists: invite collaborators to access, contribute to and comment on songs for a project within a wishlist.
  • Curated Home Screen: learn about the best new music, straight from our curation team.

Below is a screenshot of what “collaboration” looks like. You can communicate with your colleagues on projects directly within the Musicbed interface.
