Ok, so I’m not normally a guy to gush over either celebrities or photo series. I’ve been waist-deep in the photo world for so long, very rarely does anything “strike” me anymore. But every once in a while, a photo or series hits me right, and can’t help but share it.

This is one such instance.

These images by Andrew H. Walker are outstanding thanks both to the subjects, and the topic. His series put well-known celebrities side by side with themselves, one showing their public persona, one showing their private one. The best part? We aren’t told which is which, leaving us even more puzzled as to who these people really are than we were to begin with.

And I love it.

As fellow Resource editor Zach Sutton pointed out to me on our editing room floor, actors are very good at portraying personas… which means this could all be a ruse and we would have no way of knowing.

I, however, am feeling particularly romantic today. I’m going to choose to suspend disbelief, if just for a moment, so that I can continue to enjoy these images.
