The DJI Mavic Pro drone is a lightweight, easily portable drone with a 12 megapixel camera and a steering system simple enough for an amateur.

And, for a limited time, you can win one for free off your own merit. Here’s how it works:

DJI is partnering with NatGeo to sponsor the #MYMAVICCONTEST, where the five best photos taken with the Mavic Pro (as judged by NatGeo’s photo editor) will earn their photographer a free drone.

In order to enter, you can either:

a. Sign up on DJI’s website to rent a drone, free, for two weeks (supplies may be limited and rental selection is random)

b. Fly your own Mavic Pro!

You have two weeks to take the best photos you can. While there is no guideline concerning what the photos can be of, keep in mind this is NatGeo we’re talking, so most shots will be wildlife/nature themed.

Upload your images to Instagram using the hashtags #MyMavicContest and #NatGeoTravel . You can click on these links to check out the competition, too^.

Winners aren’t announced till November, but the competition closes on Halloween, so get started! Best of luck to y’all.
